Mildred Abell

Mildred Crites Abell, 98, died July 19, 2021, at Providence Pointe Healthcare in Paducah, Ky.
She was born on July 28, 1922, in Senath, Mo., daughter of the late Eli and Ruth Crites.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today at White-Ranson Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union City, with Father Carl Gregorich officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah at 2 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Arnold, John Hurt, Gavin Shore, Vance Shore and Ryan Johnson.
She worked at Salant and Salant for 20 years and at the Union City Walmart store for 21 years. She lived the last few years in Paducah. She married John Abell on Oct. 4, 1939.
She and her husband had three children, Bonnie Hurt (who preceded her in death), Barbara (Larry Don) Baker of Bartlett and Nancy Ray of Paducah. She had seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
