Daney L. Angel, 66, a resident of Union City, died Friday, July 16, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m.
Daney was born on April 5, 1955, in Pikeville. He was the son of the late Robert D. Angel and Frances (Walker) Angel. He married Vickie (Maynor) Angel. She survives. He was proud to serve his country in the United States Army. He also dedicated 30-plus years to the car business that he loved so much. He retired as sales manager at Herman Jenkins Motors in 2020. Daney was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed his evenings sitting on the porch and patio having coffee with his wife.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his daughter, Wende (Keith) Clouse of Union City; four grandchildren, Alyson (Sage) Cooper and Zach (Amber) Clouse, all of Union City, Jordan (Abby) Clouse of Prince George, Va., and Seth Clouse of Union City; his great-grandchildren, Graham and Greer Cooper, Lane and Cullen Clouse and Ben Clouse; four siblings, Ray (Polly) Angel of Pikeville, Gail (Jimmy-Don) Layne of Dunlap, Glenna (Tom-my) Goins of Dunlap and Diane (Clay) Myers of Pikeville; his sister-in-law, Fadonna (Terry) Hickey of Pikeville; several aunts and uncles that loved him like their own son; several cousins whom he loved like siblings; and nieces and nephews he loved like his own children.
