Bethany Ellegood

On July 16, 2021, Bethany Lynn Ellegood went to her eternal Heavenly Home to be with Jesus.
She was born in Akron, Ohio, on Aug. 27, 1981, to Chapy and Carol Ingersoll. She moved to Union City at 3 years old. She went to the Union City and Obion County School Systems. She then went to University of Tennessee of Martin and graduated with a degree in elementary education later to receive her master’s from Arkansas State. She lovingly taught for eight years at Lake Road Elementary and loved all the students and teachers. Her family was her life and letting people know of the love of Jesus was her goal in the way she lived and served.
In 2011, it was the joy of her life to marry Ryan Anthony Ellegood. A year later she added to her joy with the birth of Reagan Anthony Ellegood.
She also leaves behind mother-in-law, Lisa Elle-good; grandmother-in-law, Joyce Morgan; brother, Ben (Sarah) Ingersoll and children, Eli and Eliana, of Cookeville; her sister, Kerry (Richard) Hines of Brentwood and children, Roman and Kylee Beth; her sister-in-law, Taylor (Mark) Pierce of Samburg; her aunts and uncles, Linda (Jim) Noall, Sherry Roman, Vicky Bogus, Vern and Jackie Ingersoll, Mark (Gayle) Ellegood, Eddie (Linda) Ellegood, Alison (John) Ahrens and Tammy (Dennis) James; her great-aunt, Dean Sullivan; and cousins, Adam, Kalyn, Jennifer, Nicky and Michael and their families.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Robert Anthony Ellegood; her grandparents, Robert and Ellen Ingersoll and Randy and Colene Roman; and her uncle, Tom Bogus.
Bethany loved children, cats, dog Jack (who was always by her side), growing flowers and mission trips.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 21, at Second Baptist Church in Union City from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. with pastor Justin Hiens officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church cemetery in Crystal, following the funeral service.
Edmaiston-Mosley Fun-eral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Mark Pierce, Ben Ingersoll, Rich-ard Hines, Robert Griggs, Chad Baker and Mark Ward.
Honorary pallbearers will be teachers from Lake Road School and deacons of Second Baptist Church.
