Ina Ruth Davis

Mrs. Ina Ruth (Martin) Davis, 86, of Rainbow City, Ala., formerly of Union City, died July 7, 2021.
Services will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home in Gadsden, Ala., Saturday at 2 p.m.
She was born in Ohatchee, Ala., to Frank and Elizabeth Martin and raised in Anniston where she graduated from Anniston High School in 1953. She then attended Jacksonville State Teachers College from 1953 to 1955 where she met and married Kenneth Ray Davis in 1955. They then moved to Union City in 1968 and then back to Rainbow City in 2012. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Rainbow City and was previously a member of First United Methodist Church of Union City where she was also a member of the Margaret Carter Sunday School Class. She served as President of Service Group ll, Chairman of the Goodyear Ladies Office Club, was a member of the Band Club of UCHS from 1978 to 1983 and was the office assistant at First United Methodist Church for 10 years. She was a stay-at-home mom and raised three handsome sons. She loved to draw, paint and travel.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Kenneth Davis; two sons, Michael Terry Davis and Jeffrey Martin Davis; two granddaughters, Madison Elizabeth Davis and Alexandra (Allie) Nicole Davis; five grandsons, Jay Davis, Brad Davis, Harrison Davis, Nick Davis and Matt Davis; two great-grandsons, Tucker Davis and Brantley Davis; two great-granddaughters, Harper Ann and Elly Grace Davis; and one brother, Sam Francis Martin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Kenneth Davis.
Pallbearers will be Mike, Jeff, Jay, Brad, Harrison, Nick, and Matt.
Visitation will be at the funeral home starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday and lasting until the time of service.
