Barbara Jean Courtney

Barbara Jean Courtney, 85, of Mayfield, Ky., died June 27, 2021, at The Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.
She was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church and a retired Licensed Practical Nurse from Lourdes Hospital and Green Acres Healthcare.
She is survived by three daughters, Sherry (the late Earl) Hutchins, Teresa Gossum and Melody (Wayne) Harris, all of Mayfield; four sisters, Theresa Orth of Hot Springs, Calif., and Lola Williams, Helen Howell and Carol Barendregt, all of Bardwell, Ky.; three brothers, James Willis of Alabama, Lester G. Willis of California and Michael Willis of Carlisle County, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Bob Courtney; and her parents, Lester A. and Agnes R. Gibson Willis.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, with the Revs. Ronnie Stinson Sr. and Ronnie Stinson Jr. officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Micah Roach, Alex Chalker, Paresh Patel, Jason Earley, Bryan Earley and Corey Earley.
Visitation will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery.
