Mike Homra

Don Michael “Mike” Homra, 84, of Fulton passed away early Friday, June 18, 2021, at his residence.
He was born on March 13, 1937, in Fulton, to the late Willie Elias Homra and Aline Noffel Homra. Mike was the owner/operator of Leader Store and Leader Travel and a member of First United Methodist Church in Fulton. He had lived in the area all of his life.
Hornbeak Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by four daughters, Michelle Wheat (Joe Ray) of Union City, Valerie Johnstone (Mark) of Jackson, Stephanie Simmons (Chip) of Lexing-ton, Ky., and Bridget Pirtle (David Mack) of Fulton; nine grandchildren, Kelly McDaniel (Shane) of Lexington, Kristen Greer of Union City, Foster Johnstone of Charleston, S.C., Mary Parker Johnstone of Memphis, Aline Wells Johnstone of Annapolis, MD., Molly Simmons and Maggie Simmons, both of Lexington and Elizabeth Pirtle and Annie Ruth Pirtle, both of Fulton; and three great-grandchildren, Myla McDaniel, Maddox McDaniel and Mason McDaniel, all of Lexington.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan Tune Homra; and his brother, William A. “Bill” Homra.
A private service will be held.
