Virginia Pugh

Mrs. Virginia Pugh, 91, died Friday, June 4, 2021, at AHC Union City. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Troy Church of Christ, with burial to follow at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday, beginning at 9 a.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be grandsons and her nephew, Michael Rogers.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pugh was born Aug. 9, 1929, daughter of the late Elmer and Mary (Long) Rogers in Troy. She graduated from Troy High School in 1947 as Valedictorian of her class. She worked at the County Agent’s office for a short time before attending Freed-Hardeman College. She then worked several years at Brown Shoe in the fitting room commissary.
In 1953, she married Robert Isbell. She began helping him farm until having a heart attack in 1989. He died Feb. 6, 2004. On Oct. 4, 2008, she married Stanley Pugh. He preceded her in death Oct. 8, 2012. She was a member of Troy Church of Christ and the Obion County Senior Citizens group.
Survivors include two sons, Robert E. (Melissa) Isbell Jr. of Franklin and David R. (Trenia) Isbell of Clarksville; five grandsons, Brandon (Caitlin) Isbell of Clarksville, Kelby (Jordan) Isbell of Basehor, Kan., Chad (Samantha) Isbell of Clarksville, Christian Isbell of Clarksville and Seth Isbell of Franklin; one great-grandson, Carson Michael Isbell of Clarksville; two great-granddaughters, Cordelia Josephine Isbell of Clarksville and Morgan Isbell of Basehor; and one sister, Sallie Ferguson of South Fulton.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, R.H. Rogers; one sister, Elsie Rogers; a niece, Lori Ferguson; and a nephew, Doug Ferguson.
