David Newton

David Newton, 51, of Union City passed away 10:45 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2021, as the result of injuries received in a accident.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Bro. Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery near Martin.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. until the hour of services Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Scott Shell, Bobby Ransom, Colton Quick, Roy Wainscott, Jeremy Pollock and Chase Vancleave.
Honorary pallbearer will be Jake Jeffrey.
David was born Oct. 24, 1969, in Martin, son of the late Larry Wayne Newton and the late Juanita (Crossno) Newton. He had been employed at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, was the owner of Dave’s Roofing & Home Repair and was employed as a truck driver for Southern Concrete Company.
He is survived by two sons, Braden Newton and Parker Newton, both of Clarksville; his companion, Shelley Roberson of Union City; one sister, Amy Landrith of Visalia, Calif.; and his aunt and uncle, Becky and Brad Wilson of Martin.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son, David Tyler Robertson Newton.
