SMOKY SCENE — Firefighter Brandon McMinn (foreground right) and Union City Fire Chief Karl Ullrich worked to couple hose as soon as they arrived on the scene of a fire reported at 8:08 a.m. today at 608 North Division St., just north of Palmer Street. Heavy smoke was pouring from the house when firefighters from the Union City Fire Department arrived, but they worked swiftly to quickly bring it under control. Under automatic aid, firefighters from the nearby Rives and South Fulton fire departments also responded to assist. Union City police were on the scene to assist as well, and Union City Energy Authority responded with a crew. No injuries were reported in the incident. At press time, firefighters and police were still at the North Division Street scene.
