EMOTIONAL MOMENT — Union City Fire Chief Karl Ullrich kneeled to speak with an emotional Alexis Butler as she reacted to a fire which heavily damaged her home at 608 North Division St., just north of Palmer Street, shortly after 8 this morning. Heavy smoke was already pouring from the house when firefighters arrived, but they were able to bring it under control within minutes. No injuries were reported. Firefighters were still on the scene at mid-morning today. The Union City Fire Department was assisted by firefighters from the neighboring Rives and South Fulton fire departments, and Union City police were also on the scene to help.
