David Thorpe

David Earl Thorpe, 69, a resident of Union City, died April 19, 2021, at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of services.
Mr. Thorpe was born on June 4, 1951, in Tiptonville, son of the late Milton Earl and Avalyn (Williams) Thorpe.
He worked for Thorpe Brothers Farms. He was a member of Union City First United Methodist Church, Penny Hill breakfast club, the former Charlie T’s lunch group and the Character Builder Sunday School Class.
He is survived by a daughter, Katie (Kenny) Tohn of Union City; two grandsons, Paul Martin Tohn and William Tohn of Union City; a granddaughter, McClain Tohn of Union City; a sister, Linda (Bill) Simrell of Union City; a brother, Jim (Mary) Thorpe of Union City; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
