James R. Cole

James R. Cole, 83, of Union City died Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Diversicare in Martin.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:45 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021, in Parks Cemetery in Trimble. There will be a two-hour visitation beginning at 11 a.m. at White-Ranson Funeral Home.
Mr. Cole was born Feb. 18, 1938, son of the late Columbus and Ada (Ishmael) Cole. He married Bonita (Morris) Cole June 27, 1991. She survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Cole is also survived by five sons, Jimmy Cole of Arkansas, Bobby Cole of Memphis, Tim (Lee Ann) Cole of Olive Branch, Miss., Royce Cole of St. Charles, Mo., Jonathan Hawkins of Murfreesboro; eight grandchildren, Rachel, Russell, Cassady, Hunter, Bobbye Leigh, McKenzie, Dylan and Kennedy; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Sarah Russell of Union City and Sue Palmer of Memphis.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cole was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Cole; and two sisters, Lawanda Brown and Christine Rudd.
