Keitha Chism, 79, of McKenzie died at her residence on Wednesday, March 24, 2021.
Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home, with Brother John Forgy officiating. The family received friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the service time. Interment followed a Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Chism was born on Nov. 1, 1941, in Camden to William Leslie and Irene Whitfield Hatley. She received her B.S. degree at Bethel College in 1963. She is a member of McKenzie Church of Christ and retired from McKenzie Special School District after 35 years of teaching.
She is survived by her son, Randy Chism of Union City; a sister, Gladys McCormick of Memphis; and two granddaughters she loved dearly, Ashlyn Chism of Charleston, S.C., and Caroline Chism of Union City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Dewey Chism; and a son, Ricky Chism.
