Mrs. Barbara Jeanne Horner, 76, a resident of Union City, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, surrounded by her family.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the White-Ranson Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Melvin Poe officiating.
Visitation will be held from noon until the hour of services Saturday at the funeral home.
The family requests memorials be made to the donors choice.
Barbara was born July 13, 1944, to the late Elizabeth Sarah (Brooks) James and Frank Edward James. She married A.W. “Bill” Horner Jr. on Aug. 8, 1964. He survives.
Barbara was a member of the American Legion Post No. 136 in Monmouth, Ill. She was also a member of the Tennessee Chiropractic Association.
She is survived by her husband; five children, Lisa (Brent) Callicott and Angela Horner Ryan, both of Union City, Amy (Byron) Holloway of Marion, Ark., and Jim (Lisa) Horner and John (Amy) Horner, both of Union City; nine grandchildren, Jacob Ryan of Centennial, Colo., Alexis Ryan of Clarksville, Andrew Horner and Macy Horner, both of Union City, Olivia Ryan of Clarksville, Zach Ryan of Centennial, Brady Holloway of Marion, Gracyn Callicott of Union City and Madelyn Holloway of Marion; two brothers, Gary (Julia) James of Naples, Fla., and Richard (Judi) James of Winchester, Ill. She is also survived by longtime family friend, Dean Fisher; and by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and longtime family friend; Brooke Anne Fisher.
