George D. “Junior” Bunch Jr.

George D. “Junior” Bunch Jr., 69, of Samburg passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at Living Word Church in Hornbeak. Brother Archie Larry will officiate. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Homra, Jamil Homra, Timbo Smith, Cotton Brewer, Jordan Davis, Jeremy Mos;ley, Edric Caldwell and Jamaad Mosley.
Honorary pallbearer will be Pap Vancleave.
Visitation will be held at Living Word Church from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that those attending the visitation and funeral service to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
Junior was born Dec. 26, 1951, in Obion County, son of the late George Darnell Bunch, Sr. and the late Georgia Marie “Dot” (Byrd) Bunch. He married Althea (Bolden) Bunch in 2017. She survives.
Junior was in the United States Army where he served in the honor guard. He had been employed at the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 26 years and had 23 years perfect attendance. Junior was an avid duck hunter, fisherman and enjoyed cooking.
He is also survived by one daughter, Jacenta Speed (Shaw) of Union City; one son, Trey Bunch (Jessica) of Union City; one stepdaughter, Raffinee Mosley of Samburg; three stepsons, Anthony Jerome Ward (Jessica) of Greenfield, Edric Caldwell of Union City and Jeremy Mosley (Keisha) of Samburg; one sister, Jennifer Lyle (Allen) of Samburg; one brother, Tim Bunch of South Fulton; six grandchildren, Marley Speed, Mallorey Speed, Makale Speed, Megan Speed, Morgan Speed and Garrison Bunch; and ten stepgrandchildren, Case Mosley, Gavin Mosley, Jatlynn Mosley, Kailey Ring, Jamaad Mosley, Ciarra Strayhorn, Paul Caldwell, Inviah Caldwell, Emaad Caldwell and Asiah Ward.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, John Hayes Bunch and Elmer Anderson “Andy” Bunch.
