Mrs. Jane Ross, 69, a resident of Union City, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Ky.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Pentecostal Church in Union City, with the Rev. Paul Cagle, the Rev. Justin Hiens and Bro. Kevin Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Sanders Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church after 9 a.m. Wednesday.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Ben Sanders, Brad Sanders, James Grooms, Paul Grainger Hudgins, Devin Craig and Tim Craig. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Keith, Jessie Kortuem, Jason Ross and BM2 U.S. Navy Trevor Kortuem.
Mrs. Ross was born Dec. 9, 1951, in Union City, daughter of the late James Elbert and Catherine (Long) Sanders. She married James “Jimmy” Ross Nov. 28 1970. He survives. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Union City. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, was a former employee of Martin Manufacturing and volunteered in church ministries at the Obion County Nursing Home and The Waters in Union City.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Ross of Union City; one sister, Phylis Keith (Paul) of Troy; three brother-in-laws, Wesley T. Hill of Rives, Dale Ross and (Jessica Holmes), both of Troy, and Jerry Ross (Vickie) of Dresden; her godchildren, Jessie Kortuem and BM2 U.S. Navy Trevor Kortuem; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Kay Craig Hill; and two brothers, Edward Sanders and John Sanders.
