Ruth Hamlin

Ruth Ann Turner Hamlin, 80, of South Fulton passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at her son’s residence in Murfreesboro.
She was a member of Clinton First Assembly of God, had retired from H.I.S. and worked at Dana and as a caregiver.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Eugene (Tammy) Hamlin of Murfreesboro and Gregory Allen (Lisa) Hamlin of South Fulton; a stepson, Keith Melvin (Diane) Hamlin of Dyer; sister, Vertus “Corky” Richardson of Delavan, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Jonathan Hamlin of Murfreesboro, Michael Hamlin of Fulton, Tori (Michael) Walker of Yorkville, Chance (Kristin) Hamlin of Fulton, Chase (Sara) Hamlin of Murfreesboro, Hunter (Stephanie) Angel of Murfreesboro and Ashley (Jacob) McKinnis of Union City; and eight great-grandchildren, Madyson Barrett of Newbern, Grayson Fowler of Yorkville, Gunner Angel of Murfreesboro, Blakely and Ryan Hamlin of Murfreesboro, Caleb Hamlin of Fulton and Drew and Wesley McKinnis of Union City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Melvin “Johnny” Hamlin; her parents, Robert Clinton and Tella Mae Gore Turner; a sister; and a brother.
Funeral services were to be held today at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Clinton, Ky., with the Rev. Virgil Clark officiating. Burial was to follow in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
