Shannon Townsend

Shannon (Yates) Townsend, 59, of Union City passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at her home.
Graveside services were to be conducted 1 p.m. today at Obion County Memorial Gardens. Brother Jim Garner was to officiate.
There was no visitation held and friends were asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
Shannon was born April 27, 1961, in Mayfield, Ky., daughter of Zadonna (Shelton) Rial of Greenfield and the late Jake Yates. She married Dale Townsend Sept. 7, 1982. He preceded her in death April 25, 2018.
Shannon was a retired beautician and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.
She is also survived by her stepfather, Doug Rial of Greenfield; her brother and sister-in-law, Sisca and Christie Yates of South Fulton; and two aunts, Jane Charlton of Wingo, Ky., and Claudette Shelton of Maryville.
