Edith Hall

Edith (Heck) Hall, 98, of Union City passed away 3:50 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at the Obion County Nursing Home.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee officiated. Burial followed in Elm Grove Cemetery near Murray, Ky.
Pallbearers were Jason Hall, Skylar Hall, Ron Russell, Zac Jones, Hailey Batts and Tracy Sawyer.
Visitation was held from noon until the hour of services Sunday at the funeral home.
She was born Oct. 2, 1922, in Speedwell, daughter of the Tilman and Kate (Miracle) Heck. She married Leroy Hall Jan. 25, 1946. He preceded her in death April 9, 2011.
Edith had been employed as a “Rosie the Riveter” at Desoto Motor Company in Detroit, Mich., during World War II and later became a beautician. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City and the Cadiz, Ky. Homemakers Club.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Galen and Valerie Hall of Union City; one grandson and his wife, Jason and Cindy Hall of Union City; one granddaughter and her husband, Melissa and Ron Russell of Union City; and four great-grandchildren, Skylar Hall, Keatyn Hall and Zac Jones, all of Union City, and Hailey Batts of Greenfield.
She was also preceded in death by one infant sister and six brothers.
