James Robert Dickson, 78, of Union City passed away 6:19 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday at Terrace Hill Cemetery near Troy. Brother Steve Carr will officiate.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the service.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born June 21, 1942, in Kenton, son of the late Marshall and Mary (Cook) Dickson. He married Carolyn (Ross) Dickson Jan. 13, 1977. She survives.
He was maintenance supervisor for Beverly Health Care for many years and was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church.
He is also survived by three daughters, Lana Gammons (Jeff) of Troy, Pam Williams (Craig) of Joelton and Ginger Hall (Doug) of Pleasant View; one son, Lane Owens (Shayla) of Union City; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jackie Dickson (Janice) of Nashville.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
