Robert Miedl

Robert James Miedl, 68, of Union City passed away 9:47 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
There will be no services. Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Robert was born Nov. 14, 1951, in Gary, Ind., son of the late Otto and Muriel (Shumaker) Miedl. Robert had served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War and had also served in the United States Army. He had been employed at Tyson Foods in Union City.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara (Hebert) Miedl of Union City; two daughters, Tammy Miedl of Union City and Roberta Miedl of Big Bear, Calif.; three sons, Thomas Miedl and Lymann Miedl, both of Union City, and Robert Miedl Jr. of California; two stepdaughters, Cindy McCown of Burnet, Texas, and Janet Kamradt of Llano, Texas; three sisters, Cathy Dilling and Sara Ceiga (David), all of Union City, and Becky Evans of Fulton; one brother, Bruce Miedl of Union City; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Delores Miedl; one half brother, Clinton Miedl; and one sister, Glenda Miedl.
