Twin Oaks unveils Warehouse Management Software at MODEX

Twin Oaks Technology recently unveiled its latest Warehouse Management System software in early March at MODEX, the leading supply chain trade show at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The team participated as a first-time vendor on the show floor and hosted a seminar on WMS systems. Their presentation ranked among one of the Top Ten Education Seminars out of 271 seminars at MODEX.

“This is quite an accomplishment considering it was our first seminar,” said Mark Bondurant, Twin Oaks CEO. “We were grateful to have the opportunity to get our product in front of a new audience and show them what Twin Oaks WMS can do to drive efficiency in their warehouses.”

Twin Oaks Technology is known locally as an IT Support and Digital Marketing Company, but the software side of the business, Twin Oaks WMS, is quickly taking off as a competitive option for warehouse management solutions nationally and internationally. Their recent integrations include: Fetch Robotics Autonomous Robots, Vuzix smart glasses, and Amazon Alexa – all of which were demoed live at their MODEX booth.

With over 30 years of warehousing experience under his belt, CEO Mark Bondurant saw firsthand the struggles warehouses and distribution centers were facing to keep up in a rapidly changing industry where two-day shipping is the new norm. His goal was to create fully customizable software to help warehouses optimize their space, time, and workforce. His own company, a talented software team, and a couple years later, he did just that when he rolled out Twin Oaks WMS.

Once the software was fine-tuned with exciting new integrations on the horizon, Twin Oaks was ready to unveil what it has to offer at its first ever tradeshow in Atlanta. Twin Oaks attendees included CEO Mark Bondurant, Senior Technology Solutions Manager Todd Little, Twin Oaks Marketing Team Suzanne Harper and Charlene Burpo, and their own Fetch Robot named ‘TOT’.

“Our first experience as vendors and presenters at MODEX was a great one,” said Suzanne Harper. “We featured live demos of our hands-free warehouse data reporting through Amazon Alexa, picking and scanning using Vuzix smart glasses, and to top it off – we had a robot greeting our guests!”

With industries from around the world participating in MODEX, Twin Oaks was in close quarters with much larger companies and competitors. However, they know that what they lack in size, they excel in flexibility and unbeatable customer service.

“Being a smaller company can be advantageous in this industry,” said Charlene Burpo. “We are extremely flexible in what we have to offer and can customize our software to fit just about any need. Our WMS adapts to your company, not vice versa, which is a rare find compared to some larger WMS companies.”

“The most important feature of our WMS is its adaptability and scalability,” said Bondurant. “We can work with wholesalers, retailers, key accounts, 3PLs or 4PLs and can integrate with any interface or equipment. Our clients have seen tremendous improvements in orders and returns processing, picking efficiencies, and overall throughput. When a warehouse can meet 100% of their service goals for the year, we are very proud to be a part of that.”

What does the future hold for Twin Oaks? Their local IT and marketing services will expand as digital demand continues to grow, and they look forward to their warehousing software services being implemented across the country and even internationally. More trade shows and seminars are definitely in the cards, and Twin Oaks is ready to tackle it like they always do: as a team.

“The growth this company has seen since its inception 8 years ago is tremendous,” said Todd Little. “From the vision to the software development to the branding from the ground up…it wouldn’t be possible without the whole team.”

“I think seeing tech companies like Twin Oaks and others in our area on the rise is a true testament to the innovation and opportunities that can be sourced even in a rural town like ours,” added Harper. “Many Twin Oaks employees are from Northwest TN or are UT Martin graduates. You don’t have to go to a metropolitan area to find true talent.”
