Mrs. X.L. Ping, 89, of the Clayton community died Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, at Northbrooke Health Care in Jackson.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with William Denman officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Ursery, Jeff Wells, Joe Johnson, Roy Wiley, Jamie Cochran and Mac McCullough.
She was born March 29, 1930, in Hornbeak, daughter of the late Benjamin Thomas and Georgia Frankie (Cranford) Forbus. She married Fredrick Homer Ping on May 27, 1950. He passed away May 17, 2000.
She was a retired housekeeper, a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ and had been a foster parent for over 40 children.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Michael Williams of Jackson and Anita and Damond Allen of Sharon; one son and daughter-in-law, Benny and Teresa Ping of Danville, Va.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria Ransom of Union City, Susan Carter of Cayce, Ky., and Frankie Black of Kenton; and several nieces and nephews.
