‘CAN’-DO ATTITUDE — Melanie Hill of Union City, a member of the Union City J’Cettes, was among the volunteers who worked Sunday afternoon at the Obion County Schools’ bus garage in Troy to sort the hundreds of canned food items, as well as toys, which have been donated to this year’s Chimes for Charity program. Chimes is planning to deliver 250 food baskets to families and individuals in need across Obion County early Tuesday morning. Volunteers will be needed for the basket packing today starting at 1 p.m. at the bus garage, located in Troy’s industrial park. Delivery route information will be available for volunteers at the packing event. Chimes is in its 85th year of helping those in need at Christmas.
