COOKBOOKS AVAILABLE

COOKBOOKS AVAILABLE — Obion County Deputy Assessor of Property Allison Baldwin (seated) and Register of Deeds Cheryl Reddin reviewed images of former county courthouses and recipes which are included in the cookbook “Recipes from the Heart of Obion County.” It includes 351 recipes provided by past and present county employees and their associates — attorneys, judges and appraisers — as well as Discovery Park of America-provided images and the history of Obion County. Among the photographs are those of the county’s three courthouses, starting with the one which was located in Troy through the existing one in Union City, as well as a photo of a post-World War I military parade. The cookbooks, which are being sold as a fundraiser for Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope, are $20 each. They are available for pickup at the property assessor’s office for those who pre-purchased, with a few still available for purchase now. An additional printing will be done in January and those who wish to buy one may place their orders by calling Mrs. Baldwin at 885-2931.
