CHIMES’ CHEER — Davie Townes, a 17-year-old senior at Union City High School, checked out the latest fashions with a couple of young shoppers Sunday afternoon during Chimes for Charity’s annual children’s shopping tour, held at the Walmart Supercenter in Union City. Davie, the daughter of David and Kristi Townes of Union City, was among dozens of volunteers who turned out to assist about 180 less fortunate children from around Obion County. Each child was treated to $125 worth of new winter clothing. Those chosen to shop ranged in age from pre-kindergartners to eighth-graders.
