Lola Mai Carter Floyd, age 76, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019. Visitation was held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Greenfield with services to follow at 2 p.m. Burial was held at Brocks Cemetery. Officiating the services was Bro. Jim Garner. Pallbearers were Bryan Scott, Jon Scott, Joshua Floyd, Jacob Floyd, Isaiah Southerland, James Harold Moore, Billy Floyd and James Harrison. Lola was born May 10, 1943, to Robert and Dorothy Carter. She was a dedicated member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and taught a bible class for 30+ years. She was a proud grandma, and was a caregiver to many young girls after the loss of her daughter, Tammy. She is survived by her two sons, Jeff (Marci) Floyd of Greenfield and Mark Floyd of Dresden; her daughter, Brenda (Dennis) Scott of Dresden; four grandsons, Bryan Scott, Jon (Sheena) Scott, both of Dresden and Joshua and Jacob Floyd of Greenfield; and four great-grandchildren, Cadence, Parker, Jon Paul, and Laney Scott, all of Dresden; she also leaves behind Mandy Southerland, whom she loved as a daughter; two brothers, Jimmy Carter and TC (Linda) Carter; and a sister, Faye Rushing.
