Dawn Thompson

Dawn Michelle Thompson, 41, of Union City went home to be with the Lord at 4:20 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Funeral services were conducted 3 p.m. Sunday at Second Baptist Church in Union City. Pastor Justin Hiens officiated. Burial followed in East View Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday at the church.
Pallbearers were Marty Lannom, Brad Moon, Brian Burcham, Brad Boucher, Stevie Brown, Brent Petty and Jason Allen.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or Junior Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10004.
She was born Oct. 21, 1978, in St. Marys, Ohio, daughter of Bob and Cheryl (Case) Haskell of Troy.
She was employed as a certified pharmacy technician at Kizer Pharmacy in Union City. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Union City and was an avid supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
She is also survived by her husband, Greg Thompson of Union City; her son, Cameron Thompson of Union City; two sisters, Wendy Rice (Brandon) and Julia Armstrong, all of Union City; one brother, Chad Haskell (Jennifer) of Danville, Va.; four nephews, Justin Rice, Jeremy Rice and Bentley Smith, all of Union City, and Seth Haskell of Danville; and many friends, including a dear friend, John Sutton of Union City.
