Leonard Todd, 88, of Union City died Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, at Magnolia Place Assisted Living in Union City.
Funeral services were to be held 1 p.m. today at White-Ran-son Funeral Home, with Dr. Chris Gooch, Brad Boucher and Braydon Boucher to officiate. Burial was to follow in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Garth Gobbell, Cody Gobbell, Blake Todd, Hunter Todd, Morgan Todd, Austin Todd, Joshua Whaley, Brandon Whaley, Braydon Boucher, Sean Woodruff and Tyler Woodruff.
Honorary pallbearers were to be former Reelfoot Packing Company truck drivers, garage personnel and truck helpers, the Hardee’s Coffee Club and Adrian Woodruff.
The family received friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 19, 1930, in Union City, son of the late Hiram Leonard Todd and Allean (Pitzer) Todd. He married Patsy (Parr) Todd on Aug. 12, 1972. She preceded him in death May 5, 2017.
He was a retired traffic manager at the former Reelfoot Packing Company in Union City for more than 40 years, was a member of Bishop Street Church of Christ, played football and coached Union City’s first junior high school team to an undefeated season, charter member of Union City Civitan Club, member of the Union City High School Booster Club and a member of the Tennessee Trucking Association.
He is survived by three sons, Charles Todd of Waynesboro, Terry (Cindy) Todd of Chattanooga and James (Sherry) Whaley of Dresden; two daughters, Jackie Woodruff (Daryl Thornton) of Rives and Tracy Todd (Brad) Boucher of Union City; 15 grandchildren, Hunter Todd of Cookeville, Blake Todd of Atlanta, Garth (Amy) Gobbell of Murfreesboro, NC., Cody (Beth) Gobbell of Medina, Lacey Gobbell of Nashville, Morgan Todd of Nashville, Austin Todd of Hornbeak, Braydon Boucher (fiancee, Carleigh Evans) of Louisville, Ky., Braylee Boucher of Union City, Joshua Whaley of Union City, Brooke (H.B.) Dodd of Martin, Brandon Whaley of Dresden, Sean Woodruff of Rives, Adrian Woodruff of Jackson and Tyler (Allison) Woodruff of Paris; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean (Jimmy) Faulkner of Union City; one cousin, Jimmy (Anna) Hamilton of Jacksonville, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Anne Gobbell; one son, Michael Todd; and two sisters, Catherine Neill and Nancy Todd.
