Jean Ussery

Jean Carol McKinnon Ussery, 76, peacefully passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, in the presence of her children.
She was born July 2, 1943, in Douglas, Ga., to the late Micajah McKinnon and Mary McKinnon. She married her love, Kenneth Ussery, Sept. 15, 1962.
She dedicated her life to raising her children and taking care of her husband. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ussery; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Theotis and Rose Ussery; brother, Cecil McKinnon; sister Frances Gillis; sister-in-law, Juanita Cramer; and brothers-in-law, Donald Gillis, Ronnie Meeks, Carlton Ussery, Garland Ussery and Bob Cramer.
She loved all of her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She spent many years caring for her husband who passed with cancer. They both enjoyed traveling, gardening and collecting antiques together in their free time. They were blessed with 52 years of marriage.
Survivors include her children, Michael Ussery (daughter-in-law, Shannon) and Kimberly Warnick (son-in-law, Thomas); grandchildren, Samantha Howe, Garrett Howe, Carson Ussery, Caitlyn Ussery, Katy Warnick and Karoline Warnick; brothers, Donnie McKinnon and Ronnie McKinnon; sister, Beverly Meeks; sisters-in-law, Linda McKinnon, Joy McKinnon and Fonda Ussery; brother-in-law, Wayne Ussery; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services to celebrate her life will be held 1 p.m. Sun-day at Roselawn Funeral Home, with Dr. Jim Clardy officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday at the funeral home.
