Doris D. Brown

Mrs. Doris D. Brown, 83, of Union City died Monday, June 10, 2019, at her home.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mike Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dukedom.
Pallbearers will be Scottie Jones, Tony Jenkins, Blake Bullion, John Mack Long, Lucas Garland and Dylan Smothers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Thompson, Richard Holt, Dale Arnold and Matt Underwood.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She was born on June 25, 1935, in Hickman, Ky., daughter of the late James and Earlie (Bledsoe) Ellegood. She married Randall Brown on Aug. 29, 1980, and he passed away on Jan. 3, 2004.
She retired from the former Salant and Salant Manufacturing, where she was a machine operator for 15 years.
She was a member of Union City Church of God.
She is survived by five daughters, Nancy Malmstadt of Hornbeak, Normandy Birger of Colorado Springs, Colo., Deborah Jones of Union City, BeJaye Ezell of Martin and Ramona “Janie” Long of Union City; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Doris Katherine Owens; her brother, Billy Joe Kelly; and her sister, Ruby Hendricks.
