TAKING CENTER STAGE — Final plans are under way for this year’s Obion County Hometown Walk of Hope, set for Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight at War Memorial Stadium on the Union City High School campus. Planners gathered at midday Friday at the stadium to discuss plans for the stage area and musical entertainment. Among them were (from left) Walk of Hope co-chairman Kim Bruer, stage manager Brandon Rice, co-chairman Lorraine Gossett and Carl Lowrance, systems engineer at Lowrance Sound Company. Walk of Hope benefits the Obion County Cancer Agency, which meets needs for local cancer patients and their families.
