Glenda Jeane (Chilton) Towery

Glenda Jeane (Chilton) Towery, 75, of South Fulton passed away at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Gordon Wilbanks will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today and from noon until the hour of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Trent Robertson, Josh Nicks, Cameron Jones, Jeremiah Johnson, Kieran Wyatt and Jimmy Edmaiston will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Taylor, Will Harris, Ron Foster and Allen Edmaiston.
Glenda was born Sept. 3, 1943, in Lake County, the daughter of the late Ray Lee and Opal Allen (Wilmurth) Chilton.
She was a 1961 graduate of the former Hornbeak High School.
She married Billy Towery July 11, 1987. He preceded her in death April 7, 1993.
She retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 22 years of service.
She is survived by three daughters, Lori Robertson (Trent) of Union City, Laina Nicks and Lisa Marlow, both of South Fulton; eight grandchildren, Lauren Jones (Cameron) of Troy, Payton Robertson of Union City, Josh Nicks (Megan) of St. Charles, Mo., Stevie Johnson (Jeremiah) of Cayce, Ky., and Kieran Wyatt, Harley Higgins, Mady Higgins and Anna Perry, all of South Fulton; three great-grandchildren, Rob Stover and Cooper Johnson, both of Cayce, and Tucker Jones of Troy; and five sisters, Carol Edmaiston (James) and Pat Garner (Gerald), all of Union City, Dolly Riley (Gary) of Troy, Marlene Spicer (Tim) of Samburg and Darlene Jones (Jimmy) of Tiptonville.
