Betty Michelle Thompson, 54, of Union City passed away 1:57 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ben Moore, John Moore, Shane Hodges, Warren Douglas, Shane Hoffman and Nick Staggs.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Elliott, Wesley McClure and Dale Pate.
She was born Jan. 19, 1965, in Tiptonville, daughter of Betty Sue (Douglas) Price of Union City and the late James Roy Mays. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City, where she had been in the choir, sang special music and was a member of Beverly Haygood’s Sunday School class.
She won many awards for her biscuit making while in the 4-H Club. She loved God, her family and friends.
She is also survived by her stepfather, Jerry Price of Union City; one sister, Renae Wilson of Troy; two nephews, Nicholas Wilson (Kaci) of Milan and Matthew Wilson (Laken Kirk) of Martin; one great-niece, Norah Chesteen of Milan; one stepsister, Heather McGee (Mike) of Memphis; one stepbrother, Heath Price (Felicia) of Troy; two stepnieces, Hannah McGee of Memphis and Kaitlyn Price of Troy; and one stepnephew, Jacob McGee of Memphis.
