Ruth Ann Fowler
Ruth Ann (McIntyre) Fowler, 76, of Woodland Mills passed away Friday, March 15, 2019, at her residence.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass for her soul at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union City, with the Rev. Joey Kaump officiating.
Committal services will follow in Salem Cemetery in Woodland Mills.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born June 2, 1942, in Hickman, Ky., daughter of the late Abe and Leola (Ellegood) McIntyre. She married Roland, her beloved husband of 30 years, he died Feb. 19, 1994.
She graduated from South Fulton High School in 1960 and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and active in the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She was an avid gardener and decorator and spent much of her days making her home and yard a beautiful place for her family.
In later years, she became very interested in genealogy and put in many hours researching at local libraries to create a family tree to pass on to her children.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Steve; her daughter, Amy; her son, Dan; their spouses; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She is also survived by her brothers, Jimmy and Jerry McIntyre; her sister, Rose Leverett; brother-in-law, Glenn Fowler; their spouses; and nine nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Roland Fowler; a daughter, Stacey Anne Fowler; and nephews, Shawn McIntyre and Charlie Fowler.
