Ruby Lee Bell

Mrs. Ruby Lee Bell, age 96, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at Van Ayer Nursing and Rehab Center in Martin. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin with Rev. David Brown and Rev. Kerry Shopher officiating. Burial will follow in East Side Cemetery in Martin. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday or after 8 a.m. Saturday until funeral time. The family will arrive at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. She was a graduate of Sidonia High School, a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Martin. Mrs. Bell is survived by her daughters, Donna (Bill) Rea, Sherry (James) Hatchel and Judy Pearce, all of Martin; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Bell; parents, Matthew and Mary Ella Harrison Wainscott; two sisters, Lilla Erwin and Mary Pearl Wainscott; one brother, Claude Wainscott; one great-grandchild, Phillip Rea; and her son-in-law, Eddie Pearce. Online tributes may be left at murphyfuneralhome.net.
