Kenneth Mobbs

Kenneth Raymond Mobbs, 74, of Union City went to his heavenly home at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Steve Carr will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. until hour of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Reed, Richard Scarbrough, Charles “Buddy” Irvine, Allen Herchenhahn, Fred Dotson and Kelley Cross.
He was born Jan. 13, 1944, in Union City, son of the late Pow Hatten Mobbs and the late Martha (Hampton) Mobbs Cranford. He married Shelia (James) Reed June 7, 1991. She survives.
He was the former owner of Pro-Tec Security in Union City for 40 years and was a member of Sunswept Baptist Church.
He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, family and friends.
He is also survived by one son, Brian Kelly Mobbs of Union City; two stepsons, Tony Reed of Dyersburg  and David Reed and wife, Maureen, of Point of Rocks, Md.; sister-in-law, Sugar (James) Nichols and husband, Tom, of Union City; several grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Kenny Mobbs; and one brother, James Mobbs.
