Raymond Harrison

Raymond Leon Harrison, 95, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at Diversicare of Fulton.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was born on March 16, 1923, in Fulton County, Ky.
He married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Louise Jones, on April 27, 1941.
He was a graduate of Cayce High School — Class of 1941.
He was a farmer and well-known carpenter, having built many houses in this area.
He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 56 years and also taught a men’s Sunday school class for many years.
He was an avid deer hunter having killed his 65th deer at age 89.
He is survived by his wife of 77 years, Dorothy Harrison of Fulton; a son, Bobby Leon Harrison of Fulton; a daughter, Cindy Lou Harrison, of Fulton; two granddaughters, Melanie (Greg) Curlin of Fulton and Valerie (Todd) Warren of Murray, Ky.; five great-grandchildren, Casey (Layton) Scarbrough of Owensboro, Ky., Allie (Matthew) Webb of Lexington, Ky., Mallory (Tyler) Gobble of Spring Hill and Zach Rickman and Emma Warren, both of Murray; three great-great-grandchildren, Ella Kate and Haddi J. Gobble, both of Spring Hill, and Harrison Lee Webb of Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hermon and Eula Roper Harrison; a son, Jimmie Lee Harrison; a brother, Edwin Harrison; and two sisters, Alberteen Carver and Hylda Sloan.
