Larry Hastings

Larry Gene Hastings, age 73, of South Fulton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Friday until the hour of service. Hastings was a self-employed mechanic. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Trudy Garner Hastings of South Fulton; a daughter, Gena (Danny) Frields of South Fulton; a brother, Jerry (Samma) Hastings of Bruceton; three grandchildren, Danielle (Tyler) Eaves of Norman, Okla., Summer Frields and Seth Frields, both of South Fulton; three great grandchildren. Forest Eaves, Thomas Eaves and Elias Eaves, all of Norman; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jackie and Betty Garner of Martin; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Jewell Ferguson Hastings; and a sister Myra Hastings Taylor. Memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or to the charity of your choice. Online tributes may be left at www.hornbeakfuneralchapel.com
