Linda Shields

Linda Gail Shields, age 68, of Martin, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Gardner Church of Christ with Bro. Sidney White and Bro. Larry Powers officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. tonight (Thursday) at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin or after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be Jeff Fagan, Sammy Moses, Cody Waggener, Terry Lee Whiting, Van Denning and Jeff Floyd. Honorary Pallbearers will be Garrett Denning and Carson Denning. Miss Shields was a 1968 graduate of Martin High School, a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, was retired from the Martin Bank and a member of Gardner Church of Christ. She is survived by two aunts, Maudie Fagan and Marie Vicary, both of Martin; and many cousins. Miss Shields was preceded in death by her parents, Connie Shields and Mattie Ferguson Shields. Online tributes may be left at murphyfuneralhome.net.
