Willie Parker
Willie Lee Parker, 77, a resident of Union City died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson.
A memorial graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Salem Cemetery near Union City.
There will be no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
White-Ranson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born March 25, 1940, in Cayce, Miss., son of the late Stanley Otis and Tina (Jones) Parker.
He was a retired roofer and carpenter, a member of Boulevard Baptist Church in Memphis and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Beth (Mark) Clark of Fulton, Ky., and Betty (Steve) Hammock of Clinton, Ky; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Otis Parker Jr. of Arlington; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson; and a sister, Joyce Sue McCollum.
