Dorothy Brownlow

Mrs. Dorothy Sue Brownlow, 89, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at The Arbors in Union City.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Murphy Funeral Home in Martin, with the Rev. Paul Maliel officiating. Burial will follow in Stanley Cemetery, near Union City.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of The Arbors at the Ethridge House in Union City.
The family requests memorials be made to the Stanley Cemetery Association, c/o Kim Slaughter, 5423 Claude Tucker Road, Union City, TN 38261 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
She was originally from Metuchen, N.J., where she was vice president of Standard Tube Sales. She served as president of the New Jersey Women’s Credit Association and was a member of Stanley’s Chapel First United Methodist Church, near Union City and an associate member of Cennitary United Methodist Church in New Jersey.
She is survived by her two nieces, Becky (Cleo) Barnes of Union City and Sandy (Randy) Brundige of Martin; one great-nephew, Dr. Jared (Karen) Barnes of Nacogdoches, Texas; great-nieces, Elizabeth (Dr. Dustin) Parker of Union City and Carmen Brundige and Natalie Brundige, both of Martin; and two great-great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Max Edward Brownlow; her parents, Eron Edward (E.E. Crip) Conley and Mary Lee Johnson Conley; one sister, Elizabeth Jane Conley Sanford; and one brother, Edward Lee Conley.
