Frank Cook

Born Friday, Sept. 18, 1936, in Trimble, he was the son of the late Perry James Cook and the late Marie (Hinson) Cook. Mr. Cook was a self-employed farmer and owner of Troy Feed & Grain. He was a member of Trimble First Baptist Church and a former member of the Mason Hall Masonic Lodge. He had proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Funeral services for Mr. Cook will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Trimble. Officiating this service will be Dr. Rick Isbell, Mr. Doug Cook and Dr. Bill Oakley.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, with Mr. George Williams officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30-3 p.m. at the church.
Pallbearers will be Doug Cook, Dennis Cook, Brad Cook, Jim Cook, Bryan Sykes and Vernon Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Sykes, Nathan Sykes, Johnny Baker and, in postmortem, William Clay Baker.
Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests that memorials be made to Trimble First Baptist Church building fund, 139 East Mitchell St., Newbern, TN 38059.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, John W. (Dona) Cook of Trimble; his sister and brother-in-law, Paula (Duane) Tidwell of Trimble; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Franklin “Stan” Cook; his brother, Jim Cook; and two sisters, Iva May Pope and Margaret Morris.
