Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Mitch Fiscus will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Derral Vaughn, Herlon Smith, James Trevathan, Dr. Jeremiah Judkins, Tom Cole, Whitney Cole and Cobey Raines.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Vaughn’s nephews and grandsons.
Mr. Vaughn was born Feb. 14, 1936, in Henry County, son of the late William Walker and Nina Elizabeth (Taylor) Vaughn. He married the love of his life, the former Dorothy Jean Elam, Nov. 22, 1978. She preceded him in death Aug. 10, 2016.
Mr. Vaughn was retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City. He was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Paris and a former longtime member of Second Baptist Church in Union City.
He is survived by three sisters, Ruth Cannon of Mayfield, Ky., LaRue Trevathan of Paducah, Ky., and Helen White of Paris; two brothers, Bobby Vaughn of Paris and Kenneth Vaughn of Dresden; three stepdaughters, Suzie Arm-strong of Nashville and Jeannie Beth Cole and Mary Cathryn Benefiel, both of Frisco, Texas; his stepson, Tom Cole of Memphis, Ind.; eight step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; a step-great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
