James Pinion

James Allen Pinion, known to many as Higley, 57, of Mayfield, Ky., formerly of the Walnut Log community and Hickman, Ky., passed away Feb. 11, 2017.
He was born Nov. 28, 1959, in Hickman. He was the son of the late Tobe and Christine McQueen and the late Jim Pinion. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired painter and worked on the river for many years as a deck hand.
He is survived by three sons and a daughter; his sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Shane Maddox of Union City; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Keith and Sherry McQueen and Ricky McQueen of Union City; two nieces and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. on Grassy Island in the Walnut Log community.
