Geneva Sweeney

Mrs. Sweeney was born in Hickman to the late Dewey Bowers and the late Willie (Thompson) Bowers on April 6, 1929. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Sweeney.
She served as executive vice president for Citizens Bank prior to her retirement in 1994. She had been employed at the bank for over 40 years. Mrs. Sweeney was a devoted member of West Baptist Church in Hickman.
Her survivors include her brother, Ronald (Swan) Bowers of Hickman; three nephews, Joe Lynn Bowers, Steve Bowers and Jeffery Tarver; her niece, Susan Malone; three great-nephews, Clint Malone, Judd Malone and Matt O’Connor; her great-niece, Stephanie Graves; and her great-great-nephews, Jack and Drew Graves.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at West Baptist Church. The Rev. Henry Callison will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled for this evening at Strong Funeral Home in Hickman from 5-7 and  Tuesday at West Baptist Church from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m.
Terry Lane, Larry Miller, Mike Taylor, Bob Anderson, Chad Parker and Chuck Everett will serve as pallbearers.
