Margaret Scott

Born Sunday, April 17, 1938, in Topeka, Kan., she was the daughter of the late John Raymond Charles Sanderson and the late Gladys Leona (Redding) Sanderson. She worked as a surgical technician at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka and at the Urology Clinic in Topeka. Mrs. Scott also served as the dietary supervisor for Union City Manor.
She was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Newbern.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lloyd W. Scott of Kenton; her son, Donald R. Scott, and his wife, Sheila, of Martin; her daughter, Patricia A. “Trish” Scott of Fort Worth, Texas; and her granddaughter, Kait Scott of Martin. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda McCollum of Joshua, Texas, and Barbara Robinson of Ore City, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her eldest son, Lloyd W. Scott Jr., preceded her in death May 1976.
Funeral services for Mrs. Scott will be 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home, with Bro. Sean Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern. Visitation will be 2 p.m.–4 p.m. Sunday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Dodds, Steve Dodds, John Paul Medlin, Mark Tyler, Bill Hughes and Dr. Rob Jordan. Honorary pallbearer will be Frank Pierce.
