Jimmy Ray Long

Funeral services for Mr. Long will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Karnes & Son Funeral Home in Kenton, with Bro. Hoyt Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Kenton. Military honors will be observed.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today at Karnes and Son Funeral Home.
Jimmy Ray Long was born July 18, 1937, in Bristow, Okla., son of the late Samuel Dewey and Cynthia (Johnson) Long. Mr. Long was a retired electronics instructor with Tennessee College of Applied Tech-nology-Newbern. He served his country with the U.S. Army.
Mr. Long is survived by his daughter, Adrian Eddlemon, and her husband, Chris; his son, Jimmy Ray Long Jr.; four grandchildren, Lauren Coner, Austin Eddlemon and wife, Felicia, Taylor Rae Eddlemon and Emily Long; five great-grandchildren, Bryson Coner, Channing Rae Alexander, Harper Dianne Eddlemon, Liam Christopher Bane and Leighton Maddox Bane; his sister, Helen Childress; his sister-in-law, Alice Faye Wyrick, and her husband, Billy; his nephew, Steven Randall Wyrick, and his wife, Deana; and two great-nephews, Garrison Wyrick and Mason Wyrick.
Mr. Long was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda (Tucker) Long; his parents, Samuel Dewey and Cynthia Long; two brothers, James D. Long, and Harold W. Long; and his nephew, William Shane Wyrick.
