Edwin Hill

Graveside services were 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis. Pastor Cathy Barnett-Smith officiated.
The family requests that memorials be made to Boy Scouts of America or Union City First United Methodist Church.
He was born Dec. 22, 1946, in Memphis, son of the late Helen (Shinn) and Edwin Grafton Hill Sr. He was a graduate of White Station High School in Memphis in 1954 and he earned a bachelor of science degree from the former Memphis State University in 1976. He was a retired police officer with the City of Memphis and was a member of Union City First United Methodist Church and the Character Builders Sunday School Class. He was also a member of York Rite Scottish Rite Masons and was an Eagle Scout and an assistant Scout master of Chickasaw Council of Boy Scouts of America.
He was also a member of Sons of the American Revolution.
He is survived by his aunt, Mildred S. Travis of Batesville, Miss.; four cousins, Jim Travis of North Carolina, Al Travis of Texas, Willa D. Carr of Union City and Dr. William Dickerson of Dyersburg; and several second and third cousins.
