Bobby Long

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Paul Ray Cagle officiating. Burial will follow in Cane Creek Cemetery in Weakley County.
The family will receive friends 5-8. p.m Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be David Long, Scotty Long, Phillip Twining, Johnny Borrot, Chris Hitchpath, Devin Strain and Eddie Neisler.
He was born Jan. 3, 1949, in Obion County, son of the late H.B. and Nellie (Sanders) Long. He married the former Barbara June Driver, who passed away in 1988. He then married the former Brenda Williams March 22, 1988. She survives. He was a retired employee of the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in Union City, where he worked for 21 years, and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church and United Steelworkers Union.
He is also survived by his son, Robert Thomas Long of Union City; two grandsons, Robert Neil Long and Curtis Phillips, both of Union City; four brothers, Harris Long, James Long and Michael Long, all of Union City, and Terry Long of Hickman, Ky.; his stepdaughter, Marcy Poole of Union City; his stepson, Wade Pinion of Missouri; four step-grandchildren; his step-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy Phillips; and his stepson, Denny Lee Pinion.
